The thing I spent the most time on this week was texturing the mountains in the Cube World shot. I had originally sculpted the mountains as a single large piece of geometry, but this week I split it up into smaller components to make it easier to project textures onto. I also did some lighting work for this shot.
I also worked on redoing the texture for the giant hole shot. We talked about making each layer a different biome, with the center emitting heat and the upper layer being much colder. I added snow to the topmost layer, and added a glowing light in the bottom of the hole (which needs to be adjusted of course). My next step is to work on getting paint effects trees into the shot.
Lastly, I put together some rough project logo designs. We’re official committed to the title “Honu” now I guess.
Lobster Fact: As the demand for lobsters goes down, the supply of lobsters goes up.
