Catching a few lobsters...
/ Brendan Brown Week 10 PPJ
March 13, 2017

This was a pretty good week. Most of my time went towards lighting/texturing revisions (mainly for the Planet Core shot) and getting things ready for render/compositing.

The new lighting setup is a lot more complicated than the old one, its a dark scene with lots of distance between the different components, so I needed a lot of different low level fill lights to make sure everything that needed to be visible was.

A lot of the compositing work I had originally planned on doing got pushed to Matt Mlodzienski, who was looking for more work and did a great job, which freed me up to work on compositing for the DIE sequence. I spent some time organizing the elements from our element shoot, and used my favorites to put together rough composites for each shot.

Lobster Fact: In countries such as Belgium and Ukraine, Lobsters are often used as a substitute for yeast when baking bread.
